I'm Jason Ticgelaor- associate pastor at Columbia First Nazarene. I came on staff in February of 2009. We have been attending Columbia First Nazarene for about three years. I became a Christian on Easter Sunday of 1995. Soon after, I had a desire to one day go into full-time ministry. I finished my B.S. degree at Southern Illinois at Edwardsville in genetic engineering in the spring of 1998. While there I met my future wife Jamie. I then attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School for one year starting in the fall of 1998. During Christmas break Jamie and I got married.

In November of 2000 we had our first set of twins Jason and Jonathon. When they turned one I became a full-time stay at home dad.  In March 2003 we had our third son Drew, and in May of 2006 we were blessed with our second set of twin boys Alex and Ben for a total of five boys.

Now that the boys are little older we have had time to get more deeply involved in ministry again. We have had some great opportunities to start up and lead some very exciting ministries this year. I will be restarting my schooling in March through Northwest Nazarene University's on-line program. My anticipated date for ordination will be August of 2011.

We have started a Christian martial arts based ministry. I am very excited about the results so far and think it has great potential for growth and outreach. I am also looking forward to developing a young adult ministry that focuses on marriage and family issues. The word of God has much to say in these areas.

I was not raised nor did I come to Christ through the Nazarene denomination. I chose to join the Nazarenes because of their beliefs on spiritual growth and their history in the Methodist movement. The areas of spiritual growth and having a method for accomplishing it are two of my greatest passions in ministry. I hope to one day have a very successful method for spiritual growth that any believer will be able to use to bare spiritual fruit in their lives.
